ECREEE intends to award 41 projects with an overall grant amount of around 1 million Euro. An overview on the approved projects can be found in the section of the ECOWAS Renwable Energy Facility (EREF).

The ECOWREX was launched during the ECOWAS High Level Energy Forum. It informs market enablers and investors on renewable energy potentials, contacts and projects.

The side event "Promoting Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Investments for Sustainable Development in West Africa" is scheduled to take place on the 7 of December 2011 from 16:45 to 18:15 (Room Apies River).

The SWAC/OECD in cooperation with ECREEE, the Government of Cape Verde and the Government of Brazil organized the 2011 West Africa Club Forum on "West Africa and Brazil: Addressing Renewable Energy Challenges".

The second ECREEE coordination meeting with the National Focal Institutions (NFIs) took place im Kumasi, Ghana, on 27 August 2011.

We would like to thank all applicants and partners for their numerous submissions. The large attendance reflects the high demand for sustainable energy solutions in the ECOWAS region.

As part of its work programme for 2011, the Board members of ECREEE will be meeting in Accra, from the 5^th to 6^th of July, to conduct a mid-year review and to provide guidance on strategic issues.
