European Union provides support to SACREEE for the development of a regional program on Industrial Energy Efficiency

In order to contribute to the competitiveness of the industrial sector in the region and in line with the SADC Industrialization Strategy and Roadmap 2015 – 2063, SACREEE is launching a regional program on Industrial Energy Efficiency. With support of the EU Technical Assistance Facility for the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL TAF) initiative for East and Southern Africa, a team of experts is currently visiting Member States to conduct a scoping study in order to assess current practices and the potential of energy efficiency in the Industrial sector of SADC Member States.

The scoping exercise will run from mid-March 2017 to September 2017. This will be followed by the development of the regional program. The program will be presented to the Member States for validation.
