For the third year, RCREEE contributes in the success of Beirut Third Energy Forum held in Beirut on 13 – 14 September 2012. RCREEE stood behind the participation of thirty undergraduates and fresh graduates interested in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency; which comes in the context of RCREEE’s program to attract young people to work in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency in order to prepare a generation of experts in all relevant fields.
The Forum witnessed three major achievements in regard of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Lebanon shown as follows:

The Minister of Energy and Water, H.E. Gebran Bassil, announced the possibility of producing electricity via wind energy for the benefit of EDL through global offers and after the approval of the Council of Ministers.

Signing Partnership agreement between the United Nations Development Program “UNDP” and Intercontinental Bank to secure loan guarantees intended for energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the UNDP and Engineers Syndicate to launch a “solar water heater for each engineer” program.
