Call for Expression of Interest - Establishment of EE Lighting Testing Laboratory for the TGSB: Capacity development and awareness creation on EE lighting

Background

ECREEE in partnership with UNIDO, The Gambia Standards Bureau (TGSB) and the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MOPE) with all relevant stakeholders, invites Gambians that are engaged in Lighting as technical experts (designers, installers) to apply for participation in a training workshop for the promotion of Energy Efficiency in Lighting, and energy efficiency products.

Scope of the Training

The aim of the workshop is to develop the trainees’ knowledge and upgrade their capacities on technical issues, energy as well as regulatory issues. Successful candidates should demonstrate an interest or involvement in Lighting or Energy Efficiency (consumers, designers, installers, distributors, training businessmen).

Relevant work experience will be taken into account. Equal opportunities will be given to men, women and youths, with at least 40% of the selected candidates as women. We therefore strongly encourage the application of women and youth.

The training will be coordinated and supervised by international consultants.

Interested individuals that meet the above criteria are requested to fill out the attached application form and provide their CV. Selected candidates may undergo a short interview prior to the final selection.

The deadline for the application is March 4, 2022 Applications submitted after 12:30 on the closing date will not be accepted, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted regarding the training venue and date of commencement of the training.
