Six bright professionals join APSEY 11th round

25 January 2019, Cairo, Egypt: After screening and shortlisting more than 600 applications, RCREEE contracted six new interns in its regional internship program APSEY TM . Arriving from six Arab countries (Bahrain, Sudan and Yemen, Libya, Iraq and Somalia) interns will spend six months working on RCREEE’s ongoing projects and expanding thier knowledge in renewable energy and energy efficiency fields.

In their orientation sessions, interns received presentations by RCREEE experts. The presentations covered many topics including RCREEE’s projects and strategy. In addition, they learned about energy audits, tendering and transition to renewable energy in the MENA region.

Since 2014, APSEY TM program has been co- financed by OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID). OFID's support is dedicated to interns from Yemen, Sudan, Palestine, Djibouti, Mauritania and Syria.

So far, we had the privilege of hosting more than 64 interns over the spam of 7 years and we are eager to continue boosting technical and operational capacities of the region’s young talents interested in renewable energy and energy efficiency fields.

About the Arab Program for Sustainable Energy Youth (APSEY)

The Arab Program for Sustainable Energy Youth™ (APSEY) is a regional sustainable energy internship program which targets young professionals and post graduate students of engineering, economy, and law fields from the Arab region.

The program aims to boost technical and operational capacities of the region’s young talents interested in renewable energy and energy efficiency fields. The program recruits 12 interns every year on two rounds for a hands-on experience in the center’s research and analysis, policy briefs, technical assistance, and other related activities. The opportunity covers full travel and accommodation expenses in Cairo in addition to a monthly salary.
