King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE) started a national project of measure Renewable Energy resource assessment in the Kingdom which include solar, wind, geothermal energy, and waste-to-energy. This comes within the kingdom efforts to establish database that can be utilized in the implementation of renewable energy projects for power generation and water desalination.
Maher Alodan, head of research and development at K.A.CARE and in charge of the project,assured the importance of this project for the private sector, the government&universities seeking the development of any renewable energy projects.
