Senior sustainable energy expert under EU ONEPLANET Project

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), with ten (10) other organisations, is implementing a project entitled OpeN-source Nexus modelling tools for Planning sustainable Energy Transition in Africa (ONEPlanET). The project is funded by the European Union (EU) Horizon initiative focused on research and innovation, specifically the 2021 call on AU-EU Water Energy Food (WEF) Nexus. 

According to the project document “ONEPlanET will co-design and test a Toolkit, built upon existing WEF Nexus models and methodologies, that allow to simulate scenarios optimizing existing resources with the most appropriate policies considering social, climate, economic and biophysical constrains”.  Based on ECREEE’s comparative advantage, the Centre will be leading certain tasks (work packages) and participating in tasks led by other members of the consortium.

Considering the above, ECREEE is seeking to recruit a senior consultant in the sustainable energy field (covering experience renewable energy, energy efficiency, gender, and climate change, with a strong experience in data collection and analysis) to provide consultancy services in line with the Terms of Reference (ToR) attached.

EXPERT DE L'ÉNERGIE DURABLE DANS LE CADRE DU PROJET ONEPLANET DE L'UE

Le Centre pour les Énergies Renouvelables et l'Efficacité Énergétique de la CEDEAO (CEREEC), avec dix (10) autres organisations, met en œuvre un projet intitulé OpeN source Nexus modelling tools for Planning sustainable Energy Transition in Africa (ONEPlanET). Le projet est financé par l'initiative Horizon de l'Union européenne (UE) axée sur la recherche et l'innovation, et plus particulièrement par l'appel 2021 sur le Nexus UA-UE Eau Énergie Alimentation (WEF).

Selon le document du projet, "ONEPlanET va co-concevoir et tester une boîte à outils, construite sur les modèles et méthodologies Nexus existants du WEF, qui permet de simuler des scénarios optimisant les ressources existantes avec les politiques les plus appropriées en tenant compte des contraintes sociales, climatiques, économiques et biophysiques".  Sur la base de l'avantage comparatif du CEREEC, le Centre dirigera certaines tâches (work packages) et participera à des tâches dirigées par d'autres membres du consortium.

Compte tenu de ce qui précède, CEREEC cherche à recruter un consultant senior dans le domaine de l'énergie durable (couvrant l'expérience des énergies renouvelables, l'efficacité énergétique, le genre et le changement climatique, avec une forte expérience dans la collecte et l'analyse de données) pour fournir des services de conseil conformément aux termes de référence (TdR) ci-joints.

ESPECIALISTA SÉNIOR DE ENERGIA SUSTENTÁVEL NO ÂMBITO DO PROJECTO DA UE ONEPLANET

O Centro para as Energias Renováveis e Eficiência Energética da CEDEAO (CEREEC), com dez (10) outras organizações, está a implementar um projeto intitulado Fonte OpeN Ferramentas de modelização Nexus para Planear a Transição de Energia Sustentável em África (ONEPlanET). O projeto é financiado pela iniciativa Horizon da União Europeia (UE) centrada na investigação e inovação, especificamente a chamada de 2021 para a AU-EU Water Energy Food (WEF) Nexus. 

De acordo com o documento do projeto "ONEPlanET irá co-desenhar e testar um Kit de ferramentas, construído sobre modelos e metodologias existentes do WEF Nexus, que permite simular cenários optimizando os recursos existentes com as políticas mais apropriadas tendo em conta as restrições sociais, climáticas, económicas e biofísicas".  Com base na vantagem comparativa do CEREEC, o Centro irá liderar certas tarefas (pacotes de trabalho) e participar em tarefas lideradas por outros membros do consórcio.

Considerando o acima exposto, o CEREEC procura recrutar um consultor sénior na área da energia sustentável (abrangendo experiência em energias renováveis, eficiência energética, género e alterações climáticas, com uma forte experiência na recolha e análise de dados) para prestar serviços de consultoria em conformidade com os Termos de Referência (TdR) em anexo.
